Sumitani Saburo Shoten was established in 1939 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Rich in tradition and history, the town of Tokaoka in known as a copperware town that dates back 400 years to the Edo period. Takaoka is home to renowned artisans who work with a wide range of metals and produce a variety of of products from homewares to Buddhist ceremonial items.
