Friday night clay play with Em of Muddy Slug! Transform a ball of clay into a vessel for your favorite drink. In this 2-hour workshop, we will explore texture, surface decoration, and adding handles. After you are done with your vessel, you will choose from different glaze options and Em will glaze and fire it with a pick-up date to be announced. Once your vessel is fresh out of the kiln, we will let you know to pick it up at Feature Flora along with a loose leaf tea sample to enjoy in your new vessel you have made.

All materials will be provided for the class along with Feature Flora tea and light snacks to enjoy.

   

Workshop includes:

-A vessel you will make that you will pick up at a later date

-Feature Flora loose leaf tea sample

-FF tea & light snacks during the workshop

Em of Muddy Slug makes hand-built ceramics and hand-dipped beeswax candles in Raleigh, NC. Their work is inspired by queer ecology and the oddities of this world. Em's functional ceramics- mugs, coasters, vases, plates, and candlesticks- draw inspiration from quilt patterns, playful shapes in nature, and the process of pinching clay.
