A few hours dedicated to spending time on a project you are currently working on, a project you have been wanting to start, or you can simply just come and hang out. We will also have some art materials to share if you come empty handed.

Osoto Coffee is a 'slow cafe experience' pop-up by our friend Dani Morelo and O:HU bakeshop is a small batch bakeshop that will have sweet and savory pastries. Stop by for a very delicious Saturday! We will also have Willy Hardy of WILLY CLEAN who will be set up to super clean your eye glasses, phones, and jewelry and will also be offering eyeglass maintenance and repairs. Hope to see you!

ft. BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOP w/ a GREAT GOOD SPACE
Join us for a Saturday evening block printing workshop led by Denise Gunter & Jeannine Erasmus of a Great Good Space. You will learn fundamental carving techniques, how to roll out block printing ink and apply it to the block, and hand-print without a traditional press. Design and create paper prints with water soluble ink.

ft. THE STOMACH IS THE ORIGIN OF GHOSTS - a food poetry workshop w/ Ina Cariño

In this generative workshop, participants will write with and through memories and experiences of food, community, and nourishment taught and facilitated by 2022 Whiting Award winner Ina Cariño. This workshop will allow writers to invoke their senses of taste and smell, and to manifest echos of inheritance and lineage. This two-hour class welcomes poets of all skill levels and backgrounds. Light snacks and Feature Flora tea will be served.

Stop by FF for our annual VDAY flowers! We will have a very limited amount of hand-tied bouquets, bud vase arrangements, FF tea grams, FF scratch-off VDAY cards, and a flowers sold by the stem. Come earlier than later on VDAY Eve and VDAY day. First come, first serve until we run out for the day.

Join us for a Saturday evening workshop led by Maddy Lyon of Mend Mother were we will learn two invaluable skills to refresh your well-loved garments and epicycle items to give it a completely new life. This will be a fun one.

ft. SPECULATIVE SMELLSCAPING w/ AGUSTINE ZEGERS of AGAR OLFACTORY
agar olfactory centers societal and ecosystemic imbalances as integral to our experiences and critical engagements with fragrance. During 'speculative smellscaping,' augustine zegers of agar olfactory will talk about the power of scent as a tool to wayfind and world during our lifetimes as we witness deep, ecosystemic change, and be introduced to the project by smelling five scents together. This short workshop will be an attunement to engage with fragrance in new ways, activating it as a ritual and navigational tool.
This multi-sensory workshop will include Feature Flora tea to sip on.

ft. Making Matcha demo
Many of you have expressed interest in learning how to make matcha at home so we wanted to offer a quick, informal demonstration before the year ends.
We will be doing a demo and answering questions on our matcha selection and how we like to prepare it. (We plan to offer more extensive and regular tea tastings and workshops in the new year)
Also on Saturday, we will launch our third collection of matcha bowls made in collaboration with NYC ceramic artist, Ayumi Nojiri. These limited, one-of-a-kind matcha bowls along with our selection of high-quality matcha ware will be available for purchase after the demo. We will be happy to assist you in selecting what you may need to make a perfect bowl of matcha, or if you would like to purchase our signature essential matcha gift set.

ft. Unified Ferments Tasting
We are so excited to welcome Unified Ferments to Feature Flora!
Unified Ferments lives at the intersection of two culinary wisdom traditions: tea production and fermentation. In bringing both together, they created a class of non-alcoholic fermented beverages that defies the term "kombucha. Unified Ferments uses the chemistry of kombucha fermentation to unpack and translate the world of tea and the stories each tea tells to create a non-alcoholic offering that sits well in stemware. 
Stop by FF from 6PM-7PM to taste UF and have the opportunity to purchase them to take home to enjoy during the holidays.

ft. NATURAL-FILL TRIVET WORKSHOP w/ MONICA JON of NULLO CERAMICS
Come drink tea with us and learn the basics of hand-sewing and embroidery while also utilizing traditional Asian methods of using buckwheat hulls and mung beans as a natural filling to create a scented natural-fill trivet.

Come meet and support our local makers this holiday season for Small Business Saturday and bring home hand-crafted gifts for you and yours.
We will be showcasing a curated selection of beautiful homewares for purchase from local makers such as Make Nice, Muddy Slug, Jason Pak Swienckowski, Orlaya Flora + more. We will also have food, drinks, and music throughout the day.
  
  
SATURDAY, 11/18:
ft. CRINKLE COFFEE + O:HU BAKESHOP
The last time Crinkle Coffee was in town with their coffee and roasted beans was this past April! So come out and grab a cup to enjoy on the spot and bag of fresh roasted beans to enjoy at home. 
We also want to give a warm welcome to O:HU bakeshop, a small-batch Korean bakery here located here in Raleigh. It will be our first time hosting them in the space!
  
  
FRIDAY, 11/18 ~ 5:30PM - 7:30PM:
ft. MEND MOTHER
Want to learn some basic hand-sewing skills? Or do you already know how but want to work on your project around other menders? Maddy of Mend Mother will teach you how to repair and/or add personal touches to your garment. She will also be bringing her sewing machine and will offer alteration services. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any of your own. Also, don't forget to bring a garment that needs a little love.

SATURDAY, 11/11:
ft. OSOTO COFFEE + YUKIYA BAKERY
Our friend Dani of Osoto Coffee will be joining us to make some special coffee drinks. Dani's approach to making coffee is truly an experience! Some of the best coffee drinks we have ever had. We will also have Yukie of Yakima Bakery who will have Japanese baked goods using organic ingredients and traditional Japanese low-temp and long-term fermentation methods. It is our first time hosting Yukie here at FF who just moved to NC in 2021 and started their bakery business just last year!

MASK MAKING @ FF
During our opening hours from 10AM - 6PM, we will have a table set up for you to make your own Halloween mask using art supplies that will be provided. Just something to do to get in the Halloween spirit while drinking some tea!
No registration required. $2 per mask and art supplies are free to use.

CLOSET FRIENDS
The Closet Friends shop event is a one-time pop-up of curated vintage, gently worn, reworked, and NWT clothing and accessories. Join @alexlongstudio, @atimetraveler, @itsjillianclark, @jeannine.erasmus, @denisegunter, and @deanapnguyen in a day of playing dress up! Cash and Venmo accepted. FF will be open throughout the event to shop and to order tea and light snacks.

MENDING MEETUP WITH MEND MOTHER
Got a garment with a hole or rip in it? Do you want to learn basic hand-sewing skills such as mending, darning, sewing a button? Or do you already have these skills but simply want to work on a garment with others and meet other menders? 
Join us for an informal mending workshop led by Maddy Lyons of Mend Mother!
Maddy will start it off around 4:30 with a few demos before we begin to repair our garments with assistance and guidance until 6. Bring a garment of yours that deserves a little love. No registration required.
